Set Aside Time For You

2010 promises to be a year unlike any other. Many people have declared this as the year to focus on themselves. This may include soul searching, physical fitness, education, etc. Something beneficial to discuss may be the topic of "setting aside time for you." Essentially, what this means is finding that small window of time in the chaos of the day to do something that is only for you. Some may turn to a good novel, take a nap, work out at the gym, meditate, etc. It really just comes down to preference and what each individual needs. Something that may be helpful is a cool down activity. This is perfect right before bedtime. Try using a back stretcher. As odd as this may sound, the difference this can make when it comes to how well you sleep is unbelievable. Before your stretch out, try to set the mood. Try to turn all the hard lights off and rely on a small amount of light from a lamp across the room. This is perfect for helping you relax and not feel too worked up before bed. Perhaps you could try putting some soothing classical music, on low. While lying on the back stretcher, let all of the days worries escape while you just focus on your breathing. Deep breaths and positive thinking will help create a "safe" atmosphere, free of all stressors. It really is amazing to see the impact a good night's sleep can have on one's day. Try this and see if you start to see a small glimpse of improvement in the way you think and how you feel.
